Spisska Sobota
Spisska Sobota (“Saturday market”) is a beautiful medieval square just outside Poprad and, as such, central to most of our activities. It has several atmospheric pensions and hotels of which we have selected two.
Pension Sv Juraj

This is a mid-range pension with around 30 rooms, lots of character and a very friendly well-established management. The rooms range from fairly standard doubles to large characterful apartments and family rooms. There is a simple but atmospheric bar and restaurant area serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Pension Sabato

This is a small, more sophisticated offering with a very nice atmospheric restaurant with plenty of character touches in the rooms. It also has an outdoor patio area for summertime use.
High Tatras NP Region

There is plenty of accommodation available around the High Tatras National Park. We have chosen a few of our favourite hotels that we feel are the best complements to the Mountain Cottages which are unique to our tours.
The Grand Castle Hotel, Liptovsky Hradok

A beautifully renovated castle in an area of forest looking across to the Western High Tatras and a great starting point for tours in this area.
The Grand Hotel, Tatranska Lomnica

A landmark building dating from the early twentieth century with a sophisticated, if occasionally dated feel. In a wonderful position next to the start of the Lomnicky stit cable car.
Pension Vasko, Zdiar

A lovely intimate pension with clean, simple rooms, breathtaking views and a very warm welcome. Meal options are somewhat limited but Danny can always rustle up something delicious for you.
The Mountain Cottages (Chata)

As part of our wonderful explorations in the Western Tatras and Belianske Tatras, the National Park Authority have given us access to their rangers’ cottages never before made available to anyone other than to their own personnel. These cottages vary in size from 4 beds to 16 beds and tend to be centred around a wood burning fireplace with a kitchen/dining area and shared bedrooms with bunk beds often on the first floor. Many have barbeque facilities with outside sitting areas and all have outdoor toilet facilities. As part of our service, we bring our own chef, high quality bedding and chemical toilets for those who do not wish to brave the night.
Something Special
The Apartment on Lomnicky Stit

The Apartment sits right on the peak of Lomnicky Stit and can accommodate up to 4 people. You arrive at sunset and following a sundowner are offered a delicious meal followed by after dinner star gazing before retiring to your apartment in the sky for the night. After breakfast the cable car will transport you back to earth.
The Cottage in Slovak Paradise Park
Stunning Slovakia has its own beautiful cottage inside the magnificent Slovak Paradise Park which is currently undergoing extensive renovation work and will be available as the central accommodation for certain tours in the future.
Low Tatras National Park
Hotel Liptovsky Dvor, Janska valley

Sixteen traditional wooden chalets, large enough to accommodate families, sit at the heart of the Janska Valley with dramatic views in all directions. There is an international restaurant, a swimming pool and sauna and great opportunities for walking and skiing in the area.
